Shiraz Viognier 2017
The wettest late winter/spring in memory made for a later than average start but set up the season beautifully.
Another warm/hot summer followed.
50 mm rain in late January.
40 mm in the second last week of March gave us some challenges, with a little late season botrytis, but nothing that judicious hand picking couldn’t conquer.
A larger than average crop for the third year running.
Good flavours at relatively modest baumes. SV parcels were harvested between 13.0 and 13.5 baume.
