Ceoltoiri 2023

Ceoltóiri (pronounced “keel-toy-ree”) is Irish for “musicians”. The Kirks love playing music, Irish and otherwise. It’s a joy to hear each instrument working to produce a harmony, a complete whole.

The 2023 vintage was the third cool growing season in a row and our latest harvest in over a decade. The spring in particular was cool and wet and the vines were slow to get going.

Some genuine warmth finally arrived towards the end of summer flowing into a gentle and generally sunny autumn. 

The Ceoltoiri is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Shiraz, Cinsault, Counoise and Roussanne drawn largely from the one acre block next to the windmill which stands at the highest point on the Clonakilla estate.
