2019 Pinot Noir

The Pinot is lovingly made in tiny quantities.

It’s a blend of fruit from vines on the T&L block (clones 777, 115, 667, Abel, Pommard) and the old, unidentified clone planted by John Kirk at Clonakilla in 1978.

Little by little, through careful work in the vineyard and winery, we’re building layers of complexity into this wine.

“This edition may be the best yet – an example of how pinot can reward the patient winemaker…” – Ralph Kyte-Powell

Nose of cherries and dried herbs. Dark fruits power through the mid-palate, there’s firm but resolved tannins giving

presence and depth of fruit

adds to its brooding intensity. Very long and intense.

Stuart Knox - The Real Review

It opens with a delicate, cherry-scented aroma, but foresty and herbal undercurrents emerge to add savoury dimension to the nose.

The palate is fine, silky, and deceptively gentle

at first, but there’s a solid tannin structure woven through it to give power and potential longevity.
