2018 Viognier

We had some challenging moments leading up to the 2018 vintage. A hailstorm on January 9 reduced the size of the crop, but the fruit that remained was harvested in excellent condition and full of intense flavours.

Barrel fermented with a year on lees in French oak, the Viognier makes such a distinctive wine.

Fragrant orange blossom, musk and ginger aromas and a silky textured palate.

Stylish, fragrant aroma with hints of ginger and pepper. Invisible oak. Clean and crisp, with intensity and power

varietal, intense and powerful

but not heaviness or excessive alcohol or bitterness. There is a measure of tannin in the aftertaste. Slight warmth and chew to close. Very varietal, intense and powerful.

Huon Hooke

A dense and creamy white with cooked-mango and vanilla aromas and flavors. Full with lots of flavor and phenolic structure. Drink or hold.
