2018 Chardonnay

The fruit for this wine is sourced from two high altitude Tumbarumba blocks: Steve Morrisson’s ‘Revee Estate’ vineyard, at 730 metres above sea level and Heather and Rob Johansen’s block at 700 metres.

From the brilliant 2018 vintage, a flavour-packed Chardonnay with plenty of punch. Elegant, bright aromas (think citrus and white flowers) with the classic Tumbarumba mineral acid backbone.

13.5% Alc/Vol

This release is piercing and long. It tastes of white peach, crunchy apple, whispers of pink grapefruit and fennel, and then shows dry chalk to close. It has flesh and perfume but it’s defined by the sear of the finish. It needs time, for certain, after which it could be anything.

Campbell Mattinson - The Winefront

Light, bright yellow hue with a creamy, gently smoky reduction waft over the refined citrusy fruit notes.

The wine is tight and refined, tense and reserved, with excellent nerve and vitality through the palate. It lingers long with a clean, dry, appetising aftertaste.

A stunning youngster

A very young but very promising chardonnay. This should go on to bigger and better things with another year in bottle. A stunning youngster.
