2018 Ceoltoiri

Ceoltóiri (pronounced “keel-toy-ree”) is Irish for “musicians”. The Kirks love playing music, Irish and otherwise. It’s a joy to hear each instrument working to produce a harmony, a complete whole.

In the warm and low yielding 2018 vintage there is a wonderful opulence to this wine, our homage to the Southern Rhone.

Grenache, Mourvedre, Shiraz, Cinsault, Counoise and a rumour of Roussanne make up the blend.

14.5% Alc/Vol

Another very strong release. Light, perfumed and frisky but with enough substance to satisfy. Not to mention that

it’s delicious

Raspberry and dark, woodsy spice notes; firm dry tannin and mouth-watering length. Everything in right and good order. Class producer, class wine.

Campbell Mattinson - The Winefront

The thing that lifts this cuvée off the page of southern Rhône style blends is not its concoction of six varieties, nor its flourish of exotic spice or depth of black fruits, but the

harmonious, seamless, masterful

manner in which every detail is effortlessly united with super fine tannins, refreshing acidity and fantastic persistence. Best yet.

Tyson Stelzer

Medium to full red colour with a tint of purple. The bouquet is minty and fragrantly herbal, a bouquet garni,

very aromatic and charming

while the palate is medium-bodied at most and savoury, with light, soft, powdery tannins. A very appealing lighter style Rhône blend. Very aromatic and charming.
