Late last year we had a video crew here making a promotional video for screening on Jetstar flights. They had a drone buzzing around the estate which made for some great shots of the vineyard. Both Tim and Bryan contributed to the narrative. Have a look.
Tim Kirk dusts off his secateurs and pitches in with picking his small Pinot Noir block. This is the first fruit of the 2014 vintage. A small amount but the berries are in excellent condition. The 2013 Pinot Noir is about to be released – April 29th. So give it a try and see for yourself if we’re doing something right.
On a cool autumn morning our picking team remove ripe shiraz destined to be bottled as 2012 Shiraz Viognier. Follow the course of the fruit from vine to vat.
Tim engages in one of his favourite vineyard activities – tasting ripening shiraz in the warm autumn sun. “Beautiful spice exploding in these grapes”. Just what we’re looking for at this stage. Picking is not far off now.
Tim looks at the current condition of the vineyard and reckons “everything is perfectly tuned – we seriously good vintage on our hands.”
